Youth participation

Youth Council

The Youth Council a group of 15 young people who are responsible for the establishment and review of a Youth Strategy and Action Plan, which will set out the priorities and actions for young people to lead with the support of Council across their two-year term.

Youth Summit

Nillumbik Shire Council is host the Nillumbik Youth Summit, bringing together 50 young people across the Shire to discuss the topics that matter most to you.

Leadership programs

Nillumbik community has a number of leadership programs for young people aged 12-25 who live, work or study within Nillumbik Shire Council.

Nillumbeats

The Nillumbeats FReeZA Committee is made up of young people who lead the planning and staging of a range of music, arts and cultural events in the local community for other young people in Nillumbik.

Student placement and volunteering

Find out how we support young people through work experience, student placement and volunteer opportunities.

Environment

Find out about community facilities, services and programs that help protect the environment.
