    Reconnect

    Reconnect is a local program offering support to young people looking for pathways to employment.

    Reconnect can support you to:

    • Explore your career interests, goals and aspirations
    • Plan your return to study, including accessing any other services you might need
    • Find the right course and training provider
    • Stay on track once enrolled in training

      To be eligible for support:

    • 17—19 years of age
    • Not completed year 12 or equivalent
    • Currently not studying
    • Not in full time employment
    • Reside in Nillumbik, Banyule, Whittlesea or Darebin

Reconnect

DVLC’s Reconnect program is a free service for people aged between 17 and 64 who are not engaged in education or training or are underemployed for less than 8 hours a week. People involved in Justice Services and Asylum seekers are also eligible.

The Reconnect program is designed to empower you to achieve your career and education goals, with one on one support and guidance. Reconnect is funded by the Victorian Department of Education and Training.

Studying tips and resources

Studying is not always easy. If you're stuck for inspiration or find it hard to turn off the TV and get out the books, check out the resources on the Youth Central website.

You'll find good online guides with ways to improve your studying habits, ways to do better in exams and loads of information and resources that you can use in your study and homework as well as your exam revision.

Dealing with Exam Stress

Exams are a time when stress levels are higher than usual. Stress can be positive, helping students to stay motivated and focused. However, too much stress can be unhelpful – it can make you feel overwhelmed, confused, exhausted and edgy. It's important to try and keep things in perspective and find ways of reducing stress if things seem to be getting on top of you.
