Nillumbeats FreeZA

Nillumbeats are a group of young people aged 15-25 who hang out once a fortnight to chat all things music, arts and culture. We also plan creative events in the community for other young people!

We've put on some awesome events including music gigs, Battle of the Bands, Short Film Festivals and collaborations with community festivals like Diamond Creek Rotary Town Fair and Hurstbridge Wattle Festival. We also do workshops to support creative pathways like sound production and graphic design.

FReeZA is a Victorian State Government Initiative to support all ages drug, alcohol, vape and smoke free entertainment for 12 to 25 year olds.

Find out how you can volunteer with our Nillumbeats committee or for more information about our regular events below.

We're on the lookout for young musicians!

Are you a musician aged 12-25 looking for paid performance opportunities?

The Nillumbeats FReeZA team are always looking for local young musicians and bands to perform at various events throughout the year. Sign up to our local musicians database to be contacted about paid performance opportunities and upskilling workshops.
