About Nillumbik Youth

Nillumbik Youth is one of many services Nillumbik Shire Council offers to support the local community. 

Nillumbik Youth support young people aged 12-25 who live, play, study or work in Nillumbik. We strive to help young people feel heard, empowered, equipped to thrive and stay connected to friends, family and their future.  

Throughout the year we offer ongoing and casual programs and events, such as Drop In, Holiday Programs and school engagements. 
All of our events and programs are fully supervised by Nillumbik Youth staff, and are alcohol, drug, smoke and vape free. 

Nillumbik Youth is a team who share a common passion – empowering and supporting young people. The team has experience in youth work, parenting, community services and creative industries, and most importantly – we've all been a young person! Each team member has a valid Victorian Working With Children Check, has completed Nillumbik Shire Council’s Child Safety Training and regularly attend training and workshops to ensure best practice.  

 
Young people can connect with us to:  

    • Make a difference in the community through volunteering  

    • Connect with other young people   

    • Get information and access support services  

    • Learn new skills  

    • Join free or low cost programs and events 

    Nillumbik Youth does not offer case management or crisis intervention support. If you are experiencing a crisis, we can support you to find and connect to relevant support services.

    Our Commitment to Child Safety

    At Nillumbik Shire Council, we are committed to being a child-safe organisation where all children and young people are valued and protected from harm and abuse.
