Nillumbeats Battle of The Bands
The Nillumbeats FReeZa Battle of The Bands is a competition for young musicians aged 12-25. 6 shortlisted acts will get to play their music to the masses at a showcase event at the St. Andrews Hall! Acts will get a 15-minute set time to win the crowd over. Acts will be judged by a panel of young people and music industry professionals, with prizes awarded to the top three acts.
Prizes include:
1st Prize: Day long recording session at Jets Studios
2nd Prize: Merch printed with your band's logo
3rd Prize: Voucher for Manny's Music Store
Eligibility:
- All acts must only contain members aged 12-25
- The act is not to have an existing record, publishing or distribution deal.
- A minimum of 50% of members must live, work, study or play in the Nillumbik area.
- All acts must have a proposed set of 80% original material.
- Acts can be a soloist, duo, band or other musical ensemble.
- Dance, comedic or theatrical acts are not eligible for participation.
Expressions of interest for the Nillumbeats Battle of the Bands have now closed. Acts will be notified if they have been shortlisted for performance by Friday 12 July. Nillumbeats Battle of the Bands Event- SOLD OUT
The Nillumbeats Battle of the Bands will be hosted at a showcase event at the St. Andrews Hall. The event will have a headline performance from last year's Battle of the Bands winner, Offswitch and free pizza, a photobooth, giveaways and more!
A shuttle bus will also run from Hurstbridge train station to the venue via Panton Hill and Smith's Gully to help people get to the event.
