Nillumbik Youth have run a number of events throughout the year at local skate and BMX Parks located in Eltham, Diamond Creek and Hurstbridge. As well as co-hosting competitions, we have run skate clinics for young people to improve their skills as well as help those who are new to skating.

Shredability Skateboarding Lessons:

We’re hosting some free skateboarding workshops with Shredability this November!

Sessions are suitable for all levels of experience and will be split into:

  • Beginners session (Never picked up a skateboard)
  • Intermediate session (Can push)

Sessions will also have free snacks and music provided by our Nillumbeats FReeZa crew!

Key Details:

Dates: Wednesday 10 November & Wednesday 17 November

Time: Beginners session 4.30-5.30pm,  Intermediate session 5.45-6.45pm

Location: Diamond Creek Skate park, Elizabeth Street Diamond Creek

Cost: Free!

What to bring: A helmet and skateboard. We will have some boards for participants without one to use but due to COVID-19 safety participants must bring their own helmet.

These workshops are suitable for young people aged 12-25 who live, work, study or play in Nillumbik. Participation will be subject to state government advice and restrictions at the time of event.
