Nillumbik Shire Council in collaboration with the Youth Council invited young people 12-25 years old to have an active voice on important issues that affect them and support Council to create opportunities that will contribute to healthier, happier and more connected young people.
The Young Minds: Your Voice, Our Future youth engagement program aimed to engage a diverse representation of young people through a range of activities, supported by a youth survey. Up to 900 young people between 12 – 25 years of age, who live, work, study or play in Nillumbik participated in the engagement which ran from 14 June to 20 July 2021.
The survey is now closed and all the views, ideas and perspectives will help inform Nillumbik’s four-year Youth Strategy which will be open for comment in late September.
