Nillumbik 2016 FReeZA Push Start Battle of the Bands

Five bands competed in the Nillumbik 2016 FReeZA Push Start Battle of the Bands on Sat 23 July at the Eltham Scout Hall. Congratulations to the winners, Watercolour who will now go on to Regional Final. They also received a day of recording time and mixing of one song from Eltham recording studio Four4ty Productions. Second place went to Massacre of Innocence, who received a great prize pack donated by local business Harron Custom Guitars.

Michael Harron (owner of Harron Custom Guitars) also donated his time on the night to help judge and co MC. Massimo Gucciardo and Kaela Ottaway 3rd year Music Industry students at RMIT, and Dale Tanner (Ocean Grove) generously gave their time to be judges.

Taylah Walton of Taylah Walton Photography was kind enough to be the event photographer for the night (check out her photos from the night on Facebook).

Thank you to the FReeZA Committee for a great effort organising a successful gig. Our next event will be an acoustic gig at the Eltham Festival, Saturday 12 November 11am – 3pm at the Eltham Town Square. More info to come.
